I still haven’t received any kind of response from the Joy Division people. I’m not expecting anything other than an acknowledgement that they received my feedback. Part of me really wants to be all aggrieved and feel hard done by, but that’s not really fair. It’s entirely possible that they never even got my message, which is why I contacted them again today. They better get back to me this time, though or I may really have to lose enthusiasm for their products. I’m more than willing to believe the Joyball Single I received was a fluke that slipped past QC, but they still need to answer for it.
I finally received a response from Joy Division regarding the faulty Joyballs Single. The representative who emailed me apologized, claiming it “was a mistake caused by the production” and told me to contact the distributor where I purchased it for more help. I emailed back and explained that I received the product for free in exchange for my review and included a link to it.
I understand that this is a German company and perhaps a lot was lost in translation, because it seems to me that if there was a problem with the production then the batch should be recalled. But what do I know? At least they got back to me.
