USB-rechargeable lipstick vibe, fully waterproof with 100% more vibration strength than before, Mia 2 gives simple control over 6 thrilling vibration patterns. As you probably already know, LELO recently released improved versions of some of their more popular vibrators. Several months ago, LELO was nice enough to send me Mona 2 to try, and not that long ago EdenFantasys sent me a Mia 2 for review.

I felt like I was at a disadvantage when I reviewed the Mona 2 since I didn’t have an original Mona to compare it to. Luckily, that’s not the case for Mia 2, because I’ve had one of the original Mia vibes for a couple of years.

I never posted a review for my first LELO Mia, and for that I apologize because it really is a great little vibrator. I carried mine around in my purse for months, and it looks similar to a very large tube of lipstick, as long as you don’t notice the power buttons.

Still, it’s discreet enough, and I actually got to where I liked my first Mia better than the pocket rocket type vibes because it’s rechargeable, multi-speed, and offers vibration patterns. But before I could get around to posting a review, I acquired other clit vibes that were more powerful–and waterproof–so I wasn’t using Mia as much and soon forgot all about it. I did manage to tear it up, though.

Mia and Mia 2 charge via USB, and to access the port you have to remove a cap. Well, I tugged too hard on the wrong end of Mia and removed the vibe casing instead. It still works and everything, but I was still shocked that I was able to pull it apart. Anyway, I haven’t done any such damage to my new and improved Mia 2 yet, thank goodness.

LELO Mia 2 PackagingMia 2 is packaged like other LELO products: an outer box with a picture of of Mia 2 on the back, and then the typical black gift box inside.

You also get the usual swag, including a storage pouch and lube sample, along with one of those product cards, I guess so you know it’s a real LELO and not some knockoff.

LELO Mia USB Rechargeable VibratorUnfortunately, Mia 2 doesn’t include a little USB charging cable. My fist Mia came with one, which is really handy because these vibes are thicker than my computer.

If I plug either Mia directly into my laptop, then I have to prop it up on a box or something, otherwise there’s not enough space. It’s okay, though. I can use Mia’s cable with Mia 2, but I think it would have been nice for LELO to keep providing them with the newer model.

LELO Mia and Mia 2 Discreet Vibrators

As far as the size and design, it’s basically the same as the original Mia, except the cap on Mia 2 has little grooves that need to match up when you replace it.

This means you have to twist-then-pull the cap to remove it, but I think it will stay in place better since the cap on my first Mia just pulls off. Also, there’s a metallic base around the charging port on Mia 2, whereas the other Mia has silicone there.

The vibrations on my first Mia aren’t really weak, or particularly buzzy, but they’re definitely not as strong or rumbly as the vibrations on Mia 2.

Both vibes make the same amount of noise at top speed of constant vibration, but the original Mia sounds more high-pitched and whiny. Either way, I’d still say these are quiet vibes. I had to hold them both up to my ears to really hear them.

LELO Mia 2 MeasurementsUnlike with some of the other LELO vibes, you can’t vary the vibration strength or speeds once you move out of continuous vibration mode. But, Mia 2 has six different vibration settings, while the original Mia only had four, and the vibrations in the pulse settings are stronger in Mia 2.

Honestly though, I pretty much stick with the constant vibration setting, and while Mia 2 is more powerful at the higher speeds, both vibes start out feeling pretty much the same at the lower continuous vibration settings.

The buttons and controls are the same on both Mia vibes, and they’re easy to operate. Just press the + button to turn on the power and start at the slowest speed of constant vibration. Keep pressing it to increase the speed.Once you hit max speed, push and hold the + button for a second or two, then release it to get to the patterns.

There’s a busy signal pulse, a short sharp pulse, an escalating pulse, roller coaster, and random/dance pulse. Keep hitting the + button to cycle through them, in that order. To get back to the constant vibration setting, hit the – button. Push the – button to slow the vibration speed, and to turn the power off quickly, press both the + and – buttons at the same time.

Mia 2 is a great for using during partner sex because it’s small and discreet, so it easily fits in between bodies. It’s also nice and quiet. Like other vibes this size, it makes my hands numb during extended use, but it’s just the thing for when I need some reliable vibration on my clit during partner sex or while using a non-vibrating dildo.

  1. I kind of giggled at “busy signal pulse.” Very descriptive.
