I was so excited when I got a We-Vibe II. I had only been reviewing sex toys for a few months, and this one not only was getting quite a bit of publicity at the time, but it was also totally unlike anything I’d seen or tried.

Not really knowing the size or that the middle part was flexible, I was actually a bit intimidated by the thought of wearing a vibe inside me during intercourse. Once it arrived, tough, and I saw that it’s actually much smaller than I imagined, I was eager to try it out.

I almost always test new products by myself first, and being the fan of dual stimulation sex toys that I am, I liked it well enough for solo use. Except for the button. It’s just a small, slightly raised nub at the top of the clitoral part of the We-Vibe II, and during use it’s really hard to find and tricky to press, even if your fingers aren’t slick with lube.

I must admit that apart from the vibrations on my clit, it didn’t really do a whole heck of a lot for me when I wore it during intercourse. I think I built this vibe up as some sort of be-all, end-all couples toy that would give me squirting G-spot orgasms. But that didn’t happen. I could feel it in there, and it wasn’t unpleasant, but it moved around quite a lot inside me and sometimes would work its way into an awkward place and would then have to be repositioned. So, it just didn’t rock my world like I’d hoped.

Weeks after I’d posted my review I was using my We-Vibe II during sex, and one over-enthusiastic thrust pushed it into a very uncomfortable place, and I had to stop and take it out. That totally killed the mood, as well as making me a little sore, so I was afraid to use it during sex again after that. Since I have other dual-stimulation vibes that I like better for masturbation, my We-Vibe II sat unused for months. Well, over a year, actually.

But then the We-Vibe 3 came out, and Standard Innovation generously agreed to send me one for review. It boasted more power and a remote control. Well, I knew the remote would definitely be an improvement, but I had to dig out my We-Vibe II and charge it up so I could compare the increased power claim. I can tell you that the We-Vibe 3 definitely has more power, so if you’re trying to decided between the two, get the new one, even if it’s more expensive. And I promise that I will have my review of the We-Vibe 3 posted very soon. I think I need to test it just a few more times first.
