It’s no secret that I’m partial to rabbit-style vibrators. They come in many variations of shape and size, with all kinds of functions and controls, and I want to try as many as possible. Needless to say, I take every opportunity I’m given to review them, which is how I received a Silicone Rabbit Pearl Deluxe from Pipedream, and it’s unlike any other rabbit-style vibrator I’ve tried.
The vast majority of dual-stimulation rabbit vibes share the same basic design: a twirling shaft (possibly with rotating beads inside) and an attached, vibrating bullet covered in a soft (frequently animal-shaped) sleeve.
Sometimes the bullet is too far down the shaft, or the shaft itself is too short, or certain angles are all wrong and the right parts of the toy can’t hit the intended stimulation points. Well, such issues are resolved with this toy because its little bunny bullet can be easily repositioned along the shaft or removed altogether.
Anyone new to rabbit vibes may not yet know their shaft length preferences or where the bullet should be positioned to best suit them. With the Silicone Rabbit Pearl Deluxe, the bullet is attached by a silicone band that keeps it in place on the shaft, but it can be positioned anywhere on it. Such adjustability gives the user opportunities to experiment with different options to see what suits them best.
It truly is 3 toys in one, because the removed bunny can be used on its own as a bullet vibe. Thanks to the stretchy silicone band, it could also be slipped onto a classic-style vibe, turning a vibrating shaft into a dual stimulation toy, or even worn as a cock ring.
With no bunny, the shaft is a lot of fun on its own because not many classic-style vibrators twirl or have internal rotating beads. Oh, and of course it works very well as a dual-stimulation vibe when it’s put back together.
Now, real quick let me rattle off the specs for this one. It measures 7 3/4 inches long. There are 3 soft little spikes low on the base, so I measured 5 1/2 inches of insertable length from the top spike to the tip. The width tapers, going from a 1 1/4 inch diameter base to a tip measuring less than an inch across, so the girth varies from 4 to 5 inches.
The bunny measures 3 inches long, and its silicone band is 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The removable bullet is only 1 1/2 inches long and maybe 1/2 an inch in diameter. The shaft is powered by 3 AAA batteries, and the bullet takes 3 LR41 watch-style batteries, but the good news is that 6 come included.
As the name suggests, the Rabbit Pearl Deluxe is made from nonporous silicone, so use only water-based lube. It’s also waterproof, which means cleaning it with antibacterial soap and warm water is no problem.
This silicone is very soft, and the tip is rather squishy. There are a few bulges along the shaft, but the surface is smooth and without any texture. It feels really nice. The ring-around-the-bunny is stretchy, so repositioning it along the shaft is pretty easy.
There are 2 buttons to control the shaft: a power button, which turns the rotation on, changes speed (there are 2), and turns it off. The spin button below changes the direction of shaft rotation. The bullet only has one speed and is turned on by a button on its base.
Here I would have liked more options in speed, and I think the bullet could use a bit more power. But, the nice thing about the shaft and bullet not only controlled but also powered separately is that upping the speed on the shaft’s rotation will not affect the power going to the bullet.
I appreciate the versatility of this toy. While a bit more power would be an improvement, there’s enough to do the job. But what really sets this vibe apart is the adjustable rabbit. That plus the smooth texture and modest girth also make this vibe ideal for those new to dual-stimulation toys in addition to anyone who has yet to find a rabbit compatible with their body.
