Joyballs Single

Remember my post about Kegel exerciser balls and my page all about the importance of doing Kegel exercises? Well, I recently tried another vaginal exerciser toy: the Joyballs Single from Joy Division. It's my latest review product from EdenFantasys.com.

Very similar to the other Kegel balls out there, the Joyballs Single is a single hollow silicone ball with another, smaller ball inside that rattles around as the user moves about. There is a handy retrieval cord that is partially covered with the same silicone. The Joyballs Single is spherical (unlike other Kegel balls that are more elliptically shaped) and measures a little over 4 1/4 inches in circumference. Packaged in a pretty silver box, it comes with a satiny silver storage pouch, instructions in many languages, and a sample packet of lube.

I apologize for the poor quality of the photo. Since the box is a very shiny metallic silver, I couldn't figure out a way to take a picture of it without a reflection showing.

I'm currently reading Female Ejaculation & the G-Spot, and according to Deborah Sundahl, women with healthy pelvic floor muscles should be able to squeeze a banana in half. I've been afraid to even try, because I seriously doubt my PC muscle is that strong, so I decided to ramp up my Kegel exercises.

Unfortunately, the silicone ripped where the string attaches to the ball after only 4 uses. This was very disappointing because I actually like the Joyballs Single better than my SmartBalls. I find it easier to keep in when I'm being active, and I think that's because it fits me better. I hope that this is a fluke and the one I received is faulty. I have contacted the manufacturer and will update if/when I hear back from them. My full review of the Joyballs Single will be posted on the EdenFantsys.com website soon, and I'll update with a link here when it's live. In the meantime, feel free to check out the video tour.

Neon Luv Touch 10" Vibe

Classic-style vibrators are a sex toy staple. They're versatile, effective, and easy to use. Most consist of a smooth, straight shaft, usually made from hard plastic or firm silicone, and they vary in length and girth. I recently received a Neon Luv Touch 10" Vibe from Pipedream to review, and I now have new respect for slimline vibes.

The dimensions are pretty straightforward. As the name suggests, it's 10 inches long, measures 1 inch in diameter, and is only around 3 1/4 inches in girth. Nearly the full length could be considered insertable, as the battery compartment cap only takes up around 3/4 of an inch. Vibrators like this can really be used anywhere on the body, except please note the lack of a flared base makes this toy unsafe for anal play.

The length of the Luv Touch Neon allows the user plenty of handle to reach the desired stimulation points. The vibrations travel down the shaft, but they can really be felt most strongly towards the top, which is great for more pinpoint clitoral stimulation. With such a slim girth, this is a great size for those new to using sex toys, or anyone looking for an non-intimidating insertable vibe.

Since it's waterproof, it's easy to clean with soap and water or toy cleaner. I store mine in its original packaging, which is just a thin plastic box. The shaft has a nicely rounded, tapered tip, a multi-speed motor, and plenty of power. There is a clicky dial on the battery compartment cap to turn the vibe on and control the intensity. There are no patterns or pulses, just powerful continuous vibration.

Now, I know it may not look like much other than a skinny vibrator, but let me just say that this one is very powerful, especially since it's only powered by 2 AA batteries. I definitely underestimated how much I would like this toy. Even at the slowest setting, the vibration is pretty intense, and it may be too much to start out with for some users, especially those who like a gentle rumble for warming up. At top speed the vibration is really potent, and there is some surface buzz, but I didn't find it to be too much to handle. Plus, the really cool thing about this toy is its lovely smooth "Luv Touch" finish. Even though it's made from hard plastic, it has an inviting, velvety-soft surface, which I totally love because it feels so awesome.

My Toy Cleaner

I often mention toy cleaner in my reviews because it can be safely used on all materials, and it's sometimes the most convenient way to clean sex toys that aren't waterproof or have a lot of surface texture. The Pixie Plus is a great example. I certainly don't want to risk getting water in the battery compartment of the shaft or around the bullet's cord, but at the same time, the entire toy is covered in soft, spiked texture that is a haven for residue and germs. Toy cleaner is the ideal solution. I'm currently using the My Toy Cleaner from Fascinations.

My Toy Cleaner is clear, unscented, and comes in a 4 ounce, pump-top spray bottle. The label is discreet enough. While it does state that this product is in fact a toy cleaner, it doesn't specify what sort of toys it cleans. I just turn the bottle so the label faces the wall, and it blends in just fine with the other hair and skin care products on my bathroom counter.

The active ingredient is the antibacterial and antifungal agent Triclosan. This toy cleaner also contains the following ingredients, some of which may pose some safety or sensitivity concerns, so I linked each ingredient to its relevant Wikipedia page.
Now, I know some of those ingredients may sound rather scary, but I have sensitive skin, and so far I haven't experienced any irritation from using this product to clean my toys. Since the toy cleaner doesn't need to come in direct contact with skin, I think it's safe enough. It's super easy to use, too. Just unplug/remove any batteries, spray the toy's surface "generously" with toy cleaner, wait 30 seconds, wipe, and then rinse off completely. Dry with clean cloth or paper towel.

For the most part, I use the soap-and-warm-water method for cleaning my toys because that's also compatible with all toy materials. But I do like having toy cleaner on hand for when dunking my vibe in a sink full of hot soapy water isn't an option. Even if toys aren't going to be shared, it's still important to make sure they're clean, especially with slightly porous materials or textures that have the potential to harbor residue and germs.
